Box Score It was just the way a lot of coaches like to see it. Hamline got goals from six different players Saturday and rolled to a 7-1 win over St. Olaf in Northfield Saturday afternoon. The Pipers pushed their school record undefeated streak to 11 games and remain in first place in the MIAC with a 8-1-1 mark. They are now 13-2-2 overall.
Unlike Friday's game, HU broke out of the gate quickly.
Jordan Hansen opened the scoring 6:15 into the game with her first of two tallies and
Madison Kolbow followed suit at 8:30.
Madison Gaffney made it 3-0 at 11:38. The Oles responded in kind and it was 3-1 after one period. Any thoughts the home-towners had of a comeback, however, were quickly squashed when
Leah Schwartzman found the net 61 seconds into the middle period. Later, Hansen and MIAC scoring leader
Darby Dodds tallied for a 6-1 lead after two.
Becca Zarembinski wrapped up the scoring with a tally in the final minute of play. Hamline finished with a 40-32 edge in shots on goal.
Annie Juergens had a strong game with 31 saves to lower her goals-against average to a league-leading 1.22.
HU takes on Bethel next weekend. The teams will meet in Blaine on Friday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. They are back at TRIA Rink on Saturday, January 27 for a 2:00 p.m. faceoff.
