Hamline's gymnastics team swept the top four spots in the Floor Exercise and went on to earn their first dual meet win of the season, 186.150-184.525 over Wisconsin-Stout at Walker Field House Friday night. Caitlin Cooper captured the event with a 9.700 score. She was closely followed by Alexa Vorderbruggen and Darby Slater at 9.675 and Sydney Tribbett, who came in fourth at 9.650. The Pipers outscored the Blue Devils by four points in the event to improve to 1-4 in dual meets this season. 

The Blue Devils won the other three events by tight margins. Tribbett was second on the vault at 9.550 and Alyssa Huch came in third (9.525). Morgan Bradford stepped on the Uneven Parallel Bars to place third with a 9.250 tally. Meghan Webb was second on the Balance Beam at 9.425. 

Cooper was third in the race for All-Around honors with a 36.375 score. 

All in all, a real team victory for head coach Doug Byrnes and his charges. 

HU has a short turnaround. They head back to the mat on Wednesday, February 7 for a meet at Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
