Ali Kopiecki made it four straight wins on the court with a three set win over St. Catherine's Bri Dorr Saturday night in a women's tennis match at Baseline Center, the University of Minnesota's indoor facility. The Andover, Minn. native's gritty triumph was the highlight of the night for the Pipers, who dropped the overall match to the Wildcats, 8-1.
Hamline is 3-2 on the season, 0-2 in MIAC play.
Kopiecki, a freshman, won the first set, 6-4 but dropped the second one by a 6-3 margin. She won the third set solidly, 10-4, to improve her individual record to 4-1.
Ella Seehafer put up stiff resistance at No. 2 singles, losing 6-2, 7-5.
The Pipers return to action March 2 against St. Olaf at Baseline.
