Box Score The Hamline women's hockey team continues to rewrite the record book.
Sarah Bobrowski set two individual marks and the Pipers broke one and tied another team mark in a 13-5 win at Concordia Saturday afternoon.
Bobrowski, a senior, scored six goals and assisted on three others as the Pipers exploded for the win. The nine points are the most ever recorded in a NCAA D-III women's hockey game. Bobrowski's 49 total points (16 goals, 33 assists) leads all D-III women's hockey pucksters in points.
Bre Simon added two goals and five assists for HU, which set a new school single season mark with 16 overall wins. HU is 16-3-2 overall. They are 11-2-1 in MIAC games (23 points) and are in first place, one point ahead of St. Thomas. Gustavus Adolphus is two points back.
Unlike Friday's hard fought 4-3 win in Moorhead, HU blew this game open early. Simon scored 20 seconds into the game and it triggered an eight goal avalanche that tied a school mark for goals in a period set against Chatham in 2007. Simon had another one -- her league leading 26th goal. Bobrowski scored three times with
Leah Schwartzman,
Jordan Hansen and
Madison Kolbow adding solos in the big period.
Schwartzman added a second goal in the second period. Hansen did likewise in the third and Bobrowski filled in the rest of the blanks for Hamline.
Mckenna Hulsander played the first 54 minutes and Mari Johnson finished up in goal for the Pipers.
Hamline, which has already clinched a MIAC playoff spot, takes on St. Mary's in Winona on Friday, February 9. The teams play at TRIA rink on Saturday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m.
