Ali Kopiecki was on the winning end of a pair of matches for the Hamline women's tennis team, which dropped a 6-3 decision to St. Benedict at the U of Minnesota Thursday night. Kopiecki stretched her winning streak at singles to four and improved her overall record at No. 1 to 11-2 with a pair of 6-2 wins.
Natalie Pieterick also swept her way to win at No. 2 singles with a pair of 6-1 wins. Kopiecki and
Megan Anderson won their second straight doubles decision, taking their match at No. 1 with a 8-2 win.
Anderson put up some serious resistance at No. 5 singles, falling by 6-4, 6-4.
Hamline is 7-7 overall, 0-6 in MIAC play. The Pipers will be busy this weekend. They face St. Mary's on Saturday, April 21 at Baseline (1:30 p.m.). On Sunday, April 22, HU heads to Moorhead to tangle with Concordia in a 3:30 p.m. affair.
