The lengthy trip back from Moorhead probably seemed a lot shorter given the result that transpired. The Pipers earned their first MIAC win of the season with a 6-3 win at Concordia Sunday afternoon.
Natalie Pieterick swept to a straight set win at No. 2 singles and then paired with
Ella Seehafer for a solid 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
Ali Kopiecki continued her excellent season with a similar feat -- she won her No. 1 singles match by 6-4, 6-1 margin and then joined
Megan Anderson for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
The Pipers also got a gritty three set win from
Claire Witt at No. 4 singles (6-1, 5-7, 10-8) and
Jane Schwartz at No. 6, who recorded a pair of 6-3 wins. HU is 8-8 overall, 1-7 in the MIAC.
