Mara Boulanger and
Taylor Martinek made their final Bush Pool appearance in a meet one to remember. The seniors won five races between them as Hamline's women's swimmers defeated Augsburg 104-87 Friday night.
The Pipers won seven individual races and a relay to earn the verdict over their Minneapolis rivals.
Boulanger (pictured) started her big night with a 1:08.48 effort to edge out teammate
Alex Torgrimson by less than a second in the 100 IM. Later, she rode to a 51 second win in the 500 Free, finishing in 6:06.68. She capped the night with a win in the 50 Breaststroke. Her time of 35.94 seconds beat teammate White by a second and a half.
Martinek beat the field in the 50 Free (25.12 seconds) and earned a two and a half second triumph in the 100 Free (56.21).
Torgrimson and White also tasted victory. Torgrimson took the 50 Backstroke in 32.21 seconds and White topped teammate
Lilah Fischer by two seconds in the 100 Free, finishing in 2:19.95.
Boulanger, Martinek, Torgrimson and White bested the Auggies in the 200 Medley Relay, winning in 1:59.35.

The Pipers have little time to rest on their laurels. They face St. Olaf and Macalester in a meet in the latter's pool on Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m.
