That was quite an opening act for the HU women's tennis team. The Pipers lost one game all night en route to a  9-0 decision over Crown in Lakeville in the season opener for both teams Friday afternoon. Ali Kopiecki, Tessa Rugg, Natalie Pieterick, Claire Witt, Megan Anderson and Yee Thao all won their singles matches by 6-0 counts. 

Kopiecki and Rugg took their number one doubles match by an 8-1 count. Anderson and Pieterick swept to an 8-0 decision  as did Witt and Kaylie Conlin. 

The Pipers open MIAC play February 15 against St. Olaf in Owatonna, Minn.
