The Hamline women's tennis team ran into two of the league powers on the weekend. HU lost at Gustavus Adolphus, 9-0, on Saturday fell to St. Thomas by the same score the next night at Baseline Tennis Center. In the latter match,
Ali Kopiecki took the first set of her No. 1 singles match by 7-5, dropped the second set and then battled hard before losing the deciding set by 12-10.
Tessa Rugg (pictured) put up a spirited battle at No. 2 singles, falling 4-6 in the first set. The pair also fought hard at No. 1 doubles, losing 8-7.
Hamline is now 3-4 overall, 0-4 in the MIAC. They face St. Catherine March 9.
