ST. PAUL, Minn. – The All-Academic awards from the 2019 cross country season were recently announced by the USTFCCCA, with both Hamline cross country teams earning a spot on the All-Academic Team list.
In order to qualify, the team must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.1 The men's team met that requirement with a 3.11 team GPA, while the women far surpassed it with a 3.64 team GPA.
In addition to the team awards, the Pipers also had a pair earn a spot on the individual All-Academic team. For an individual to earn the honor, they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and have finished in the top 25% at the regional meet.
Junior
Helen Dolan from the women's team met both criteria, as she finished in 10
th at the regional meet on her way towards All-American honors. Dolan is a Studio Arts major. From the men's team, it was junior
Frank Gustafson who made the list, also finishing 10
th at the regional meet. Gustafson is a Legal Studies and Philosophy double major.
As the team looks ahead to the 2020 season, Gustafson is one of 10 expected to return on the men's side, whereas all 14 are expected to return for the women's squad.
