COLFAX, Wis. — The Cross Country teams competed at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invite this morning at Whitetail Golf Course, after the expected afternoon heat changed the times of the runs from late afternoon to earlier in the day. 

MEN

The Pipers placed 32nd with a score of 1003. UW-Platteville took first place with a score of 104. 

The Pipers had five of their six runners come away with personal bests. Wade Tuggle led the Pipers with a time of 29:22.6 (PR), Jayden Rentz clocked in at 30:12.2 (PR), Brady Sullivan ran a 30:23.2 (PR), Brandon Li clocked in at 33:17.0, Joseph Rivera Fuentes ran a time of 34:22.3 (PR), and rounding out the Pipers was Aye Roh Htoo with a time of 35:27.6 (PR). 

WOMEN

The Pipers took 32nd place with a score of 994. UW-La Crosse took first place with a score of 117. 

Brooke Baumann led the Pipers with a time of 24:53.4, followed by Anabel Bradley (26:09.7), Bri Burkhardt (29:12.5), Lilli Carpentier (29:32.0), Deliah Neria (29:44.5), and Savannah Janes (29:54.4). 

The Pipers will be back in action on October 18 at the Augustana Interregional Invite in Rock Island, Ill.
