Senior Spotlight: Nolan Hartmann

Despite having their seasons cut short, the Hamline athletic department would like to recognize and honor the 2020 senior spring class of student-athletes. These 37 individuals have made a lasting impact on their program and the Hamline campus as a whole. Every day for the next few weeks, please check back to this page as a new senior will be added each day.

What were you most looking forward to for this spring season?
I was looking forward to continuing to grow relationships with my teammates and working to make the playoffs.

What is one of your favorite memories of your time at Hamline?
Some of my favorite memories came from going to Arizona for our spring trip through the years and getting to know some amazing people that will be lifelong friends.

Who is someone that has had a positive impact on you during your time as a student-athlete?
Athletic trainer Jamie Destache

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be starting up a painting and deck staining company when I graduate.

What is your advice for your younger teammates?
Don't take anything for granted and enjoy the little things. You don't know when your last game will be.

What are you most proud of about your career as a student-athlete?
I'm most proud of coming back from a UCL injury stronger than I was in previous years, and pitching my senior year when I didn't think I would be able to. This wouldn't have been possible without my teammates, family, coaches, and trainers by my side throughout the whole process. I'm very thankful for all of them!
