MENOMONIE, Wis. - The Hamline gymnastics team (2-1) finished up their road schedule on Saturday night, falling to UW-Stout (2-1) 182.700 - 181.550. The team score was the best so far this season for the Pipers, as they recorded season-highs on vault, floor and beam.

Hamline's team scores have improved every meet so far this year, as they started with a 177.675 in their meet against UW-Eau Claire, and then put out a 179.050 in their win at Gustavus.

In tonight's meet, HU had their best showing on beam, beating the Blue Devils in this event by a score of 47.100 to 46.700. The Pipers also had the better score on bars, scoring 41.800 points to Stout's 41.500. On vault, Hamline recorded 46.700 points and on floor they scored 45.950.

Sophomore
Tisana Lowe had a strong meet for the Pipers, putting up the top score for Hamline in each of the three events that she competed in. On vault, she placed second with a 9.500, which was a new season high for the Woodbury native. On bars, she tallied an 8.700, which was good for third place and on floor, she tied for second with a 9.500.

Also contributing to the season-high vault score was a pair of 9.400 scores from senior
Mary Kelly and junior
Nikki Johnsen. This put them in a tie for fourth. Sophomore
Danielle Jaworski scored a 9.250 and sophomore
Madison Lieurance recorded a 9.150 to round out the top five.

On beam, the Pipers were led by 9.550 scores from junior
Katie Kalland and Lieurance, who tied for second. Sophomore
Madeline Sowinski and junior
Emily Anderson were not far behind, each scoring a 9.500 which put them in a tie for fifth. Johnsen was fifth in for HU with a 9.000.

After Lowe's score on beam, it was Sowinski who was next in for Hamline with a 8.600 for fifth, followed by senior
Emma Patterson's 8.400, which tied for fifth.

On floor, Lowe placed second with her 9.500 and Kelly and Sowinski tied for fifth, each recording a 9.400.
