ST. PAUL, Minn. - Four Hamline University track and field athletes are preparing for their final meet of the year, earning the opportunity to compete in the NCAA Track and Field Championships.
Joe Martin,
Helen Dolan,
Alexandra Maddux, and
Jenneel Rodney all qualified for the meet and will compete this weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Joe Martin
Martin's senior season has been an impressive one, as he won the MIAC Championship title in the shot put (17.11 meters) and currently ranks first in the Central Region and sixth among the nation's Division III competitors with a mark of 17.20 meters.

Martin is set to compete on Saturday, May 29 at 1:00 p.m. (CT).

Helen Dolan
Dolan qualified for the National Meet in the 5000-meter run. Her school record time of 16:56.99 currently ranks ninth in the country. At the MIAC Championships Dolan earned All-Conference honors after placing third with a time of 17:55.57.

The 5000-meter finals will take place on Saturday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. (CT).

Alexandra Maddux
Maddux recently placed second in the 800-meter run at the MIAC Championships with a new-career best time of 2:12.68. She already holds the indoor track and field school record in the 800-meter race (2:13.35) and her outdoor time currently ranks 17
th in the nation.

Maddux will race on Friday, May 28 at 3:00 p.m. (CT). The finals will take place the next day at 12:50 p.m. (CT).

Jenneel Rodney
Rodney is headed to nationals at the right time, after just putting up a new career-best in the hammer throw, winning the MIAC Championship with a distance of 53.24 meters. This mark was a new school and conference championship record. The distance currently ranks 12
th in the nation.

Hammer throw finals are scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start on Saturday, May 29.
