Pipers Shine on Day Two of ITA Midwest Regional

DAY TWO RESULTS

WHITEWATER, WIS.—The Hamline University women's tennis team embarked on day two of the ITA Midwest Regional in Whitewater, Wisconsin on Saturday.

The consolation doubles bracket saw Lily Vang/Taylor Vyskocil register an 8-3 victory over UW-Superior's Lainey Zurn/Chiyono Owa in the first round. Vang/Vyskocil would fall to Frye/Morgan (St. Mary's Minn.) 8-7 (3) in the second round.

The consolation singles B bracket was good to Jersi McAlpine, who defeated Kara Hand (St. Mary's) 8-0. McAlpine fell to UW-Eau Claire's Samantha Fuchs 8-1 in the second round.

In the consolation singles A bracket, Ava Helmer fell to UW-Eau Claire's Sydney Presler 8-0. Presler advanced to the second round, where she defeated Taylor Hopkins 8-0. Sydney Hubbard dropped an 8-3 decision to Maya Kunze from Concordia (Wis.).

The Pipers will participate in day three of the ITA Midwest Regional on Sunday, September 26 in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
