WHITEWATER, WIS.—The Hamline University gymnastics team embarked on the 2022 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional, hosted by UW-Whitewater on Saturday evening. The Pipers notched eighth place with 184.400 points, while UW-Oshkosh took home the conference title with 192.300 points.

Madison Latzke engineered the Pipers with a 16th-place mark of 9.525 in the vault. Carolina Schlawiedt was the top Hamline finisher in the uneven parallel bars in 28th place with a 9.250. The balance beam saw Madison Lieurance notch 19th place with a 9.425, while the floor exercise resulted in a 28th-place mark of 9.400 for Danielle Jaworski. Madeline Sowinski was the lone Piper participant in the all-around, where she finished in seventh place with a 36.650.
The Pipers wrap up their 2022 season, and bid farewell to seniors Emily Anderson, Nikki Johnsen, Katie Kalland, Madison Latzke, Carolina Schlawiedt, Savannah Tafolla, and Katie Viles.
