SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The 2022 Hamline Invitational was upon the Pipers men's cross country team at the Highland 9 Golf Course in Saint Paul on Friday, where they registered fifth place out of six teams with 156 points. Carleton took home the team crown with 35 points. Mohammed Bati (Augsburg) claimed the individual title with a 24:32.4.
Michael Kurtz led the Pipers in 34th place with a 27:31.9, while Aric Brodie was on his tail with a 35th-place time of 27:39.8. Lucas LiaBraaten wasn't far behind in 36th place with a 27:44.3. Connor Artner prevailed with a 59th-place time of 29:29.4. The fifth Hamline finisher was Khadar Muhumed, who took 65th place with a 30:35.7. Nejib Muhumed (38:41.4) rounded out the Hamline competitors.
The Pipers will return to action on Saturday, September 24, when they will compete at the UW-Platteville Pioneer Invite at 10:30Â a.m.
