SHREVEPORT, LA.—The Hamline University gymnastics team embarked on the deep south for Saturday-evening dual at Centenary in Sherveport, Louisiana. The Pipers put up a fight against the Ladies, but came up on the wrong end of a 186.700-185.100 decision.
Hamline's strongest event occurred in the balance beam, where Bailee Davis came through with a second-place score of 9.625. She was followed by Emily Anderson (9.375), Julia Hintermeister (9.225), and Lily Ramsdell (9.075). Davis also led the Pipers in the vault, where she took sixth place with a 9.425.Â
Ramsdell engineered Hamline in the uneven parallel bars with a second-place mark of 9.400.
Danielle Jaworski also had a stellar day for Hamline, as she prevailed in the floor exercise with a score of 9.700, good enough for third place. Davis trailed Jaworski in the floor exercise with a fourth-place score of 9.600. Jaworski kept the fourth-place trend alive with a score of 9.200 in the uneven bars.
The Pipers will travel to UW-Stout for a triangular on Friday, February 3 at 6 p.m.
