SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's and women's track & field teams opened their 2024 indoor seasons at the St. Thomas Invitational on Friday evening. No team scores were recorded at this event.

The women were led by Molly Meyers' first-place toss of 12.92m in the shot put. Madison Reed paced Hamline in the weight throw with a fourth-place toss of 15.91m. Bria Luepke kept the fourth-place trend alive in the pole vault with a mark of 2.65m. Third place was the case for Terra McMahon in the long jump (5.23m), and Frankie Witham in the high jump (1.52m). McMahon kept that momentum alive when she crossed the finish line at 8.09 in the 60 meter dash, good enough for fourth place.

The men were led highlighted by a pair of fifth-place tallies from Reece Thomas in the 200 meter dash (24.25), and Michael Braun in the high jump (1.85m). Carter Keinholz prevailed in the shot put, where he notched sixth place with a 11.87m.

The Pipers will return to action at the Macalester Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on Saturday, January 20.
