SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University men's basketball junior forward Austin Holt was named January 29 MIAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. This is Holt's third MIAC Player of the Week nod this season, and the seventh of his career.

The Highlands Ranch, Colorado native accumulated four steals, and seven rebounds per game in a week that included a 99-65 win over St. Mary's (Minn.) on January 24, and a 71-68 loss to Concordia (Minn.) on January 27. Holt also contributed offensively with 14 points per game and four assists per game. He carried the Pipers on his shoulders against Concordia with 15 points on 3-of-4 from beyond the arch, nine rebounds, three steals, and four assists.

Through 18 starts this season, Holt owns a team-leading 28 steals and 69 assists. He also carries 14.4 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game.

The Pipers will travel to Augsburg on Saturday, February 3 for a 3 p.m. start.
