Pipers Display Strong Times at 2024 NCAA North Regional

NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Hamline University cross country teams competed at the 2024 NCAA Division III North Regional, hosted by Carleton at the Bill Huyck Championship Course in Northfield on Saturday. The women took 25th place with 708 points, while the men registered a 28th-place score of 820.

UW-La Crosse won both the men (40 points) and women (63 points) North Region Titles. Hannah Preisser (Carleton) crossed the finish line at 21:24.1 en route to the women's crown, while Mohammed Bati (Augsburg) won the men's race with a 24:20.6.

Abby Tapajna led the Piper women with a career-best mark of 24:52.0, good enough for 111th place. Anabel Bradley (25:14.4), Alicia Maddux (25:35.9), Aspen Clarksean (25:48.0), Daniela Sanchez-Castillo (26:19.5), Tessa Meyers (28:25.9), and Devyn Everson (29:56.1) all competed for the women.

Leading the way for the Hamline men was Lucas LiaBraaten's 86th-place time of 26:25.3. Following LiaBraaten was Seth Nostrala (28:01.1), Wade Tuggle (30:20.3), Will Saari (30:57.0), Trevor Taylor (31:00.0), Jasper Roetter Gresback (31:30.1), and Brandon Li (32:33.6).
