Box Score SAINT PAUL, MINN - The Hamline University women's tennis team traveled to Orlando, Florida to play four non-conference matches. The first match was played on Tuesday, March 12th against Salve Regina from Rhode Island. The girls were looking for some revenge this match after losing 4-5 the previous year. The revenge was found and that started by winning two out of three doubles points and winning four out of six singles points making it a 6-3 victory in favor of the Pipers.Â

The Pipers took an early lead in doubles with wins at two and three doubles. Two doubles found an 8-3 victory by sophomore
Lynn Nguyen and one of the freshmen phenom's on the team
Elenna Kohner. Three doubles followed right behind them with an 8-6 nail-biting win coming from sophomore standout
Chloe Reyes and the other freshman phenom
Vanessa Pham. Coach Jones wanted to give a shout-out to the three doubles team of Reyes and Pham for the fight and battle they gave leading them to a much-needed victory.

The ladies towards the bottom of the lineup came up clutch for the Pipers giving them the team victory. Reyes at one singles had a tough but another heartbreaking loss at one singles losing by a split set decision. Sophomore captain
Natalie Randall fell to a tough number two singles for Salve Regina. Senior
Ashley Pitzen won in three sets at three singles to inch the Pipers closer to victory. Sophomore captain

Spencer Jones comes through with 6-2, 7-5 victory. The two freshman phenom's Kohner and Pham sealed the match for Hamline with wins for each of them at five and six singles.Â

The Pipers look to add another win to the column on this spring break trip Thursday, March 14th against Susquehanna University at 2:30 p.m.
