RESULTS
SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University track & field teams made the short trip to the Macalester Rider-Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday. The men took 10th place with 14 points, while the women also claimed 10th with 34 points.
WOMEN
It was another day at the office for Jade Hunt, who took second place in the discus with a 40.60m. Madison Reed followed Hunt with a third-place toss of 38.47. Reed kept the third-place trend going in the hammer with a toss of 50.30m, while Desirae Dates (37.58m) and Lexi Brainer (36.23m) took sixth and seventh place, respectively. Brainer notched seventh place in the shot put with a mark of 11.40m.
Seventh place was in the cards for Bria Luepke in the pole vault, where she cleared the bar at 2.90m.
MEN
Austin Schloeder cleared the bar at 4.45m in the pole vault on this third attempt at that height, which put him in a tie for second place. Oliver Engstrom followed Schloeder with a seventh-place height of 3.85m in the pole vault.
The shot put saw Harry Massey register a fifth-place toss of 12.71m. Massey built on that with a 38.40m in the weight throw, good enough for 10th place.
Iain Lee notched an eighth-place leap of 5.71m in the long jump.
The Pipers will compete at the St. Thomas Tommie Twilight on Wednesday, May 1.
