Track & Field Opened Outdoor Season at Home

RESULTS

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Track & Field hosted the annual Hamline Invitational for their outdoor opener at Klas Field on Saturday afternoon.

WOMEN

The Pipers claimed the top four spots on the discus podium, as Madison Reed claimed the championship with a toss of 38.90m. Lexi Brainer (38.23m), Jade Hunt (37.82m), and Desirae Dates (36.87m) rounded out those four spots. Reed kept that momentum alive with a 48.73m in the hammer, good enough for fourth place. Brainer followed Reed in fifth place with a 47.73m.

Molly Meyers prevailed with a second-place mark of 12.73m in the shot put, followed by Dates' sixth-place toss of 11.16m. 

Andreiana Aurelius notched seventh place in the 200 meter dash with a 27.74. Frankie Witham kept the seventh-place trend alive in the high jump with a 1.47m. Seventh place also belonged to Bria Luepke, who cleared the bar at 2.70m in the pole vault. 

MEN

Reece Thomas crossed the finish line at 23.33 in the 200 meter dash, which put him in fourth place. Michael Braun kept the fourth-place trend alive with a 1.90m in the high jump.

The 100 meter hurdles was all Morris Suah, who crossed the finish line at 15.54 en route to seventh place. Oliver Engstrom kept the seventh-place trend going in the pole vault, where he cleared the bar at 3.90m. 

The Pipers will return to action at the Bethel Invitational on Saturday, April 13.
