Women's Track & Field Comes Up Strong at Saint John's

COLLEGEVILLE, MINN.—The Hamline University women's track & field team competed at the Saint John's Invite on Saturday. 

The weight throw championship belonged to Lexi Brainer, who notched a 16.50m. Brainer followed that with a career-best, third-place mark of 12.45m in the shot put. The weight throw saw Brooke Tracy take sixth place with a 14.16m, followed by a seventh-place mark of 14.01m from Jade Hunt. Desirae Dates notched seventh place in the shot put with a 12.11m. 

Fifth place was the case for Frankie Witham after she topped out at 1.47m in the high jump. Claire Siems prevailed in the 200 meter run, where she took sixth place with a 27.57. 

Marissa Albers led the way in the long jump with a 4.69m, which put her in ninth place. 

The Pipers will compete at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic on Friday, February 21.
