MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team competed at the University of Minnesota Gary Wilson Invite on Wednesday.
For the second time this outdoor season, Ricky Kwabena Yawson broke the 100 meter dash record with a first-place time of 10.48, which ranks seventh in NCAA Division III. This beat his previous school-record mark of 10.62 at the Bethel Invitational on April 12.Â
The titles continued to role courtesy of Isaiah Watson's 14.75m in the triple jump, which ranks second in school history. Watson notched a fifth-place leap of 6.78m in the long jump. Third place was the case for Austin Schloeder in the pole vault, where he cleared the bar at 4.73m. Eddie Herman topped out at 43.58m in the discus, good enough for sixth place.Â
The Pipers will compete at the Drake Relays on Friday, April 25, and Macalester Rider Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday, April 26.
