SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team made the short trek down Snelling Avenue to compete at the Macalester Rider-Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday. The Pipers took seventh place with 41 points at Macalester, while UW-River Falls claimed the team crown with 173 points.

Mickey Otis, Reece Thomas, Dawson Schaffer, and Ricky Kwabena Yawson competed at the Drake Relays on Friday. They notched a 20th-place time of 1:29.40 in the 4x200 meter relay, and a 27th-place mark of 43.12 in the 4x100 meter relay. The men's team hadn't had a Drake Relays qualifier since 2019, when Eric Dols broke the school record in the hammer throw with a sixth-place toss of 200-3.

At Macalester, Hamline registered 13 career bests. Morris Suah's 55.68 in the 400 meter hurdles put him in first place. The championship marks continued courtesy of Isaiah Watson (6.60m) in the long jump, and Austin Schloeder (4.85m) in the pole vault.

Doug Gill paced Hamline in the hammer throw, where he notched seventh place with a 42.35m. Harry Massey was next with a 40.21m, good enough for ninth place. The discus was all Eddie Herman, who took fourth place with a 42.25m, followed by Austin Holt's eighth-place toss of 38.37m.

Next up is the Hamline Meet of the UnSaintly at Klas Field on Wednesday, April 30.
