Day One in the Rear View Mirror For Pipers at 2025 MIAC Outdoor Championship

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team embarked on day one of the 2025 MIAC Outdoor Championship at Macalester Stadium on Friday. The Pipers are tied for eighth place through day one, while St. John's leads the field with 66.5 points.

The Pipers got a pair of seventh-place marks from Eddie Herman (43.66m) in the discus, and Isaiah Watson (6.77m) in the long jump. 

Ricky Kwabena Yawson qualified for the finals after taking fourth place in the 100 (10.74), and 200 meter (21.61) prelims. Morris Suah also secured a spot in the finals with a sixth-place time of 55.59 (career best) in the 400 meter hurdle prelims, and a seventh-place mark of 15.60 in the 110 meter hurdle prelims.

Day two of the MIAC Outdoor Championship will occur at Macalester tomorrow, Saturday, May 10 at 12 p.m.
