Floor Rotation Shines in Pipers Home Dual With UW-Eau Claire

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Hamline University women's gymnastics team faced UW-Eau Claire at home in Walker Fieldhouse on Friday night. 

The Pipers fell to UW-Eau Claire in the dual meet, scoring 180.100 to UW-Eau Claire's 189.250 team score. 

Hamline began the first rotation on vault, Elena Bailey coming out with top marks for the Pipers with a 9.150 for a sixth place finish, followed by Laurel Raymond in seventh place with a 9.125 score. 

In the second rotation for the Pipers on bars, Clara Gilles placed sixth for the Pipers with a score of 9.075. Bailey placed 8th with a score of 8.850. 

At beam for the third rotation, Lizzie Green had a score of 9.200 to place sixth overall and Kaitlyn Morgan placed 8th with a score of 9.050. 

In the final rotation on floor, the Pipers shined with their best scores of the meet. Carly Banta led the Pipers with a first place score of 9.700, followed by RyLe Foldhazi in second place with a 9.675 score. 

The Pipers will compete next at UW-Stout on Friday, January 30 at 6 PM!
