Chamernick Named 2025-26 CCM/AHCA Women’s Division III All-American

SAINT PAUL, Minn. --- Hamline women's hockey junior defender Abigail Chamernick (Warroad, Minn.) capped off an outstanding junior season by being named a 2025-26 CCM/AHCA Women's Division III All-American, selected for West Region Second Team. 

The AHCA announced their All-American teams on Thursday night (Mar. 26) at the Frozen Four. Chamernick was also accompanied by fellow MIAC opponents Nora Stepan of Augsburg and Lily Mortenson of Gustavus to represent the conference on West Region Second Team. 

Chamernick lead the Pipers in assists and points, collecting a total of 22 assists and 33 total points, both of those numbers leading the MIAC stats for the season. She also lead the team in shots with 118 and was the top of the +/- list for her team and in the MIAC with a +30 rate on the ice. She had a season high 4 assists and four points against Concordia on Feb. 7. Chamernick also earned MIAC All-Conference honors this season. She helped take the Pipers to the NCAA Quarterfinals and finish their season with a 21-6-1 overall record and a 14-3-1 conference record. 

About the CCM/ACHA All-American Teams
 
NCAA Division III women's head coaches have recognized the top 30 hockey players in their division by selecting them as CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans for 2025-26. There are 26 honorees from the United States, with Minnesota (9) and Massachusetts (6) leading the way among ten states represented. There are three players from Ontario and one from Slovakia. By class, there are 14 seniors, eight juniors, four sophomores and four first year players.

Eleven players are participating in the 2026 NCAA Division III Frozen Four that begins Friday at UW-River Falls, including four from host UW-River Falls. The three other semifinalists are well represented as Amherst College and Norwich University both have three and Nazareth University has one. Twelve players have been recognized before, most notably Amherst senior goalie Natalie Stott, a First Team selection for the fourth straight year, and UWRF senior Makenna Aure, a First Team choice for the third time, and she has also been a Second Team selection.
