Shawny joined teammate Becky Culp in the All-America column when she finished fifth in the Weight Throw at the NCAA D-III Indoor Track and Field meet in Naperville, Ill. The Watkins, Minn. sophomore won the same event the week before at the MIAC meet. It is her first All-American honor. What makes this feat all the more impressive is this is an event she had never done prior to coming to Hamline.
