She is often the smallest player on the court. At the same time, she is also the player who cast the biggest shadow. Chloe Graves was doing just that last week for the HU women's basketball team. The 5-6 senior guard became just the 12th women's hoopster in school history to pass the 1,000 career point mark when she netted 10 in a 85-65 win at St. Olaf last Wednesday. She added 11 in Saturday's 73-65 home court loss to Concordia and now has 1,016 markers for her 88 game career here.

The Denver native does more than score. She is the school's all-time leader in assists with 312 and also ranks in the Top Ten all-time in Three Pointers and Free Throws made.

Chloe is not afraid to get in deep and mix things up. Her 36 defensive rebounds ranks second on the Pipers, who, at the midway point of the season, have already exceeded last year's win total with an 5-8 overall and a 2-4 conference slate.

They will get a chance to improve on that this week with a pair of games. St. Catherine visits Hutton Arena Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) and the Pipers play at Macalester Saturday (1:00 p.m.). Look for Graves to be in thick of things again. She has never missed a game in her four year HU career.
