Coaches always tell athletes to leave nothing out and give it their all when they compete in championship meets. Hamline diver Kayla Hennum took that advice to heart at the MIAC Swimming/Diving Championships held at the University of Minnesota pool last weekend.

The Bemidji, Minn. native scored 376 points to finish in third place in the 3-Meter competition. By doing so, she became the first Hamline woman in many years to earn All-Conference honors at the meet.  It also ranks as the seventh best score in HU women's diving history for that event (11 dives).

Hennum leaves HU with her name on other charts as well. She ranks third all-time in 1-Meter (11 dives) with a 379.80 scored last year and she is eight in the 3 Meter (6 Dives ) record book at 214.15.

Hennum is one of just two seniors on a young Piper team that finished eighth overall with 151 points.
