The MIAC Indoor Track & Field meet is still a couple of weeks away. Hamline junior speedster Gabrielle Brown let it be known last weekend she intends to be a big part of the action. 

The St. Paul, Minn. native  recorded the fastest 60 Hurdle time this season by a MIACer when she ran a 9.14 clocking to win the event at the St. Thomas Showcase Feb. 9. Brown was chased hard by teammate Anna Futterer, who was second in 9.22. 

Later, Brown, Futterer, Briana Berninghaus and Halley Alt teamed up to win the 4 x 200 Relay in 1:47.8. Brown and her teammates continue their MIAC prep this weekend when they compete in meets at St. Olaf on Friday, February 16 and at the U of Minnesota the next day.
