The HU men's soccer team had an impressive opening act with six first half goals in a 6-2 win over Lawrence, August 30. Logan Weller was one of the big reason why.

The sophomore broke a tight game open with three goals in a span of less four minutes to turn a 1-0 lead into a 4-0 margin.

It all started at 27:25 when Weller took a pass from Theo Salzberg and buried a shot from the left side. 15 seconds later. Weller found himself wide open and drilled a shot high into the net.

At 31:14, Lawrence was called for a foul in the box, giving the Pipers a penalty kick. Head coach Alex Morawiecki chose the guy with the hot foot and Weller paid him back handsomely with his third goal of the afternoon and the Pipers were well on their way to a very happy afternoon on the pitch.

The Pipers return to Paterson on Sunday, September 8 to take on Wisconsin Lutheran. Game time is 12:30 p.m.
