The freshman from Cedar Falls, Iowa made a big splash last weekend in a dual meet at Carleton. Colton outlasted the field to win the 1650 Free by 26 1/2 seconds. His time of 18:32.30 was a career best. He followed that up with a third place effort in the 200 Butterfly (2:19.55) and a sixth place standing in a very competitive 100 Butterfly race. His time of 58.65 in that race was just off his career best of 58.4.

Colton has already qualified for the MIAC meet next month in those three races. he will get back in the pool again this Saturday when the Pipers compete in the St. Catherine Invite.
