Sam Stark had a very busy 21 hours last weekend. On Friday night, the junior shooed away 39 shots as the Piper women's hockey team battled undefeated St. Thomas to a 1-1 OT tie. It was the first point HU had taken from their neighbors since 2008. The next afternoon, she stopped 55 shots -- the most by any MIAC tender this season in a 5-1 loss. (Two of the goals were PP efforts). The 94 saves for the weekend is also a season high in the loop. Starlk and her teammates are road warriors this week. They are at UW-Eau Claire Wednesday for a non-con game and travel to Moorhead this week to play a pair against Concordia.
