Despite missing two regular defensemen out because of injury, the Pipers held a 40-30 edge in shots on goal. HU came out gunning, out shooting SJU 14-6 in a scoreless first period. But the trouble started late in the period when
Tyler Gonzales was assessed a five-minute major for elbowing at 18:51.Â

Russ Jordan was given a major for kneeing. The Pipers gave up two goals while down two players and another one down one man in the first five minutes of the frame.
Adams started the comeback at 15:10 of the second period and Reinholz made it tighter when he tipped in aÂ

In the third period, Adams evened matters, knocking in the rebound of aÂ
Brandon Zurn shot at 6:09. The Johnnies, however, knocked a loose puck past HU goalieÂ
John Sellie-Hanson with 3:17 left. Sellie-Hanson, who stopped 26 shots, was pulled for a sixth attacker but the Pipers couldn't get the equalizer.
Hamline returns to action November 25 when they visit UW-Superior in a rematch of last Saturday's game that HU won in overtime. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
