Gabby Koel showed her versatilty with a first and a second place finish in two very different events as the Hamline women's track/field team took a close third at the St. Olaf Triangular Friday.
Koel won the Shot Put with a throw of 11.05 meters. It was one of three individual and one relay wins for the Pipers. Earlier, the junior was second in the 60 Hurdles, finishing in 9.78 seconds.
Hamline also got wins from Gabrielle Brown in the 60 Hurdles and Allyson Opps in the Weight Throiw (Teammate Kiana Verdugo was second). The 4 x 400 Relay team of Briana Baker, Carolyn Saulsberry, Jordan Walls and Marissa Fiecke was also victorious. Saulsberry stretched her legs out to finish second in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
Hamline totaled 92 points for the meet, trailing Carleton (102) and St. Olaf (100).
