Box Score A healthy Malya Hirshkowitz makes a big difference in Hamline's women's soccer fortunes. The senior forward had a goal and an assist as Hamline snapped a four-game winless streak with a 3-2 win over St. Scholastica in Duluth Sunday. 

Jenna Sampson and Siri Parker also scored to help the Pipers improve to 6-4-1 overall. The six wins are more than the Pipers recorded in all of 2015. 

Hirshkowitz got the offense going in the 34th minute when she converted a pass from Arendje Louter and netted her fourth goal. Six mi9nutes later, Louter fed Kaley Roberts who shipped the ball to Jenna Sampson for her first goal and HU led 2-0 at halftime. 

The Saints scored early in the second half but Hirshkowitz fed Siri Parker for her fourth goal of the season at 71:51 -- a tally that ended up being the winner because the Saints converted a penalty kick 76 seconds later. 

Amy Ramras had three saves to earn the win. It was her 17th career win, giving her the all-time lead in that category. She had been tied with her goalie coach, Molly Jacobs.

HU is off until Saturday, October 8 when they host St. Mary's at Paterson Field. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
