COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - The Hamline men's and women's cross country teams sent a total of eight runners to the Saint John's Fall Finale on Friday afternoon, as the women ran a 5k course and the men ran an 8k course.
First to finish for the Piper women was sophomore
Emily Kathman, who ran the course in 22:09, which was good for a 25
th place finish.
The first year duo of
Klaire Petersen and
Rachel Walsh finished within seconds of each other to take 30
th and 31
st place, respectively. Peteren finished the race in 22:45 and Walsh finished in 22:47.
Rounding out the women's squad was first year
Jalisa Matthews-Schmidt, who took 41
st with a time of 24:28.
For the Hamline men's team, first year
Noah Smith was the first one to finish the 8k course, coming in 22
nd place with a time of 28:23. In next for the Pipers was sophomore
Thomas Razidlo, who finished in 29:15 to take 33
rd.

Ethan Smith was not too far behind Razidlo, completing the course in 29:29 to place 36
th. First year
Cameron Regan rounded out the group, coming in 65
th with a time of 34:39.
Both cross country teams will compete again next weekend at the NCAA Central Regional meet that is taking place in Waverly, Iowa. The men will race first at 11 a.m. with the women following at 12 p.m.
