NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Hamline women's track and field team competed at the St. Olaf Invite today, compiling 14 performances in the top eight.

Senior
Briana Berninghaus also competed tonight, running the 200-meter dash at the University of Minnesota's Cold Classic, where she took third with a time of 25.93, coming in behind a Division I and Division II runner.

In Northfield, sophomore
Alexandra Maddux continued her string of solid performances, running the 600-meter race in 1:37.43 to set a new MIAC-best for the season so far. First year
Anna Johnson took seventh in the event with a time of 1:49.70.

In the 3000-meter run, sophomore
Emma Mader took home a first-place finish with a time of 11:09.04.

As usual, the Pipers had strong performances from the throwers, as HU had the top-three scores in the weight throw and four of the top five scores in the shot put. Sophomore
Alexandra Kolstad won the shot put with a distance of 12.49 meters and took second in the weight throw with a distance of 14.63 meters.

Junior
Nyjah Willis won the weight throw with a mark of 16.20 meters and sophomore
Madison Fiecke took third with a new season-best distance of 14.05 meters, which ranks 10
th in the MIAC.

Senior
Jessie Juenemann came in third place in the shot put (12.19 meters), followed by junior
Jayda Bagstad (11.31 meters) who took fourth, and senior
Savanna Keiser (11.10 meters) who took fifth.

Hamline also had a pair of second-place finishes in the sprinting events. Senior Beth Parlin took second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.32 seconds, which was only 0.01 seconds behind the winner. This was her fastest time of the season so far, ranking fifth-best in the MIAC.

Essence Boe added the other second-place finish, crossing the line in 8.16, which is her best time of the year which ranks seventh in the MIAC.

In the triple jump, sophomore
Aoife Zamacona tacked on a seventh-place finish for HU with a distance of 9.97 meters.

The Pipers will compete again next week in the MIAC Indoor Championships that will take place in Collegeville. The meet begins on February 27
th.
