NORTHFIELD, Minn. --- Hamline men's and women's track and field turned in a dominant performance at the Tostrud Classic at St. Olaf, highlighted by multiple event victories, personal records, and nationally ranked marks.
The men's 60 meters set the tone early, as senior Andrei Pettis won the event in a personal-best 7.01, edging freshman Jukari Blackshere, who also ran a PR of 7.02 for second. Senior Josiah Budiman added a sixth-place finish with a personal-best 7.22. On the women's side, Claire Siems captured the 60-meter title in a PR time of 7.95, while Alexi Schneider placed seventh (8.09).
In the hurdles, junior Morris Suah claimed the men's 60-meter hurdles title with a PR of 8.40, while senior Aliyah Robran advanced through prelims with a PR and finished fourth in the final in another personal-best 9.54.
Hamline continued its success in the field events. Senior Austin Schloeder cleared 4.71m (15-5.50) to win the men's pole vault, posting a season-best mark that ranks among the top performances in Division III this season, coming in at 35th. In the men's long jump, Budiman soared to a PR of 6.81m (22-4.25) for second place, with Isaiah Watson (6.36m) and Iain Lee (PR 6.11m) also scoring. On the women's side, freshman Mabel Badejo recorded a PR of 5.29m (17-4.25) to finish fourth.
Senior Lexi Brainer delivered one of the top performances of the meet, winning the women's shot put with a PR throw of 13.57m (44-6.25), a mark that ranks No. 17 in Division III. She also placed second in the weight throw (16.73m), while Lena Sampy added a fifth-place finish. The men's throwers were led by Doug Gill (14.78m) and Eddie Herman (13.90m) in the weight throw.
On the track, Anabel Bradley ran to a runner-up finish in the women's 400 meters (1:00.57), and Brooke Baumann clocked a season-best 2:25.19 in the 800 meters. In the distance events, Lucas LiaBraaten (PR 2:41.68) and Jayden Rentz (PR 2:44.48) highlighted the men's 1000 meters.
Hamline capped the meet with strong relay performances, as the women's 4x400 relay team of Baumann, Bradley, Maddux, and Karpen earned a victory in a season-best 4:20.01, and the men's 4x200 relay 'A' squad of Blackshere, Williams, Pittman, and Zulu placed second in 1:32.58 to close out another impressive showing for the Pipers.
