ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Hamline women's track and field team finished the indoor portion of their season in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon, with seven event wins and two school records broken in a tri-meet with Bethel and St. Catherine.

Junior Alexandra Maddux broke her own school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.35 that was good for a first-place finish. This time was over a second faster than her school record time she set last indoor season (2:14.78). Today's time also ranks first in the nation among Division III competitors.

Senior Helen Dolan also set a new school record in the 3000-meter run. Earlier this season she completed the 3000-meter run in 10:05.79, but in today's meet, Dolan became one of the country's five Division III athletes that ran it under 10 minutes, finishing in 9:57.02. This time won the event, set a new school standard, and currently ranks third in the nation.

Teammate Emma Mader also ran in the 3000-meter run, placing fourth with a time of 10:56.68, which was a new career-best for the junior.

First year Libby Roberdeau also won a distance event for the Pipers, winning the mile with a time of 5:42.99. This was a new season-best for Roberdeau.

Sophomore Jen Valley put out another solid effort in the long jump in today's meet, winning the event with a mark of 5.18 meters. In the triple jump, senior Abigail Van Goethem, who competed unattached, placed third with a distance of 10.30 and in the high jump junior Aoife Zamacona and first year Cathleen Rieffer tied for third with a height of 1.40 meters.

Hamline had both winners in the throwing events, as junior Jenneel Rodney won the weight throw with a distance of 15.59. In that event, the Pipers also had three more athletes finish in the top-five, as first year Madison Reed took second (14.56), junior Madison Fiecke took third (14.07), and senior Nyjah Willis took fifth (13.42).

In the shot put, senior Savanna Keiser, who competed unattached, won with a distance of 12.47 meters. Keiser, along with Van Goethem, will be back on Hamline's official roster during the outdoor season. Junior Alexandra Kolstad (11.69) placed third in the shot put and Rodney (11.43) placed fourth.

The final event win for the Pipers came in the 4x200 relay, as first year Ellie Logelin, senior Shanoah Harren, first year Julianna Boyum, and junior Cecelia Miller teamed up to finish in 1:55.65 to beat a team from Bethel.

Harren also competed in the pole vault for the Pipers, finishing third with a height of 3.10 meters. Miller and Boyum each competed in the 60-meter hurdles as well, with Miller finishing in third (9.64) and Boyum finishing in fifth (10.14).
