MANKATO, Minn. - On Friday afternoon, some of the Hamline women's throwers headed down to Mankato to take on some Division II competition at the Maverick Classic.
HU had their top-finisher in the shot put, as junior
Alexandra Kolstad took fifth out of 13 with a mark in 12.73 meters.

The Pipers had two competitors in both the discus and the hammer throw. In the discus, senior Savana Keiser finished 12
th out of 22 competitors with a distance of 38.85 meters. First year
Madison Reed was not far behind with a 15
th-place finish with a mark of 35.21 meters. Keiser and Reed were the top Division III finishers.

In the hammer throw, junior
Madison Fiecke recorded an 11
th-place finish out of 26 throwers. Her toss reached 46.90 meters. Teammate
Nyjah Willis placed 17
th with a distance of 39.02 meters.

The Hamline throwers, along with the rest of the track and field team, will compete next in the MIAC Championships, set for May 14 and 15.
