RESULTS
SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's track & field team made the short trek to the Macalester Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday, where they registered second place out of nine teams with 134 points. St. Olaf claimed the team title with 135 points.
Jailyn Robinson notched gold in the 100 meter dash with a 12.56, while Lindsey Bernardy kept the first-place momentum alive in the 400 meter dash with a 1:00.51. Bernardy's stellar day continued in the 200 meter dash, where she notched fourth place with a 28.05. Ellie Logelin kept the fourth-place trend going in the 400 meter dash with a 1:04.15.
Lucy Hoelscher stood atop the 800 meter run podium with a 2:19.65, while Alexandra Maddux topped all competitors in the 1500 meter run with a 4:43.92.
First-place marks continued to roll courtesy of the 4x100 meter relay team of Cecelia Miller, Logelin, Essence Boe, and Jailyn Robinson (50.95). The 4x400 meter relay squad of Bernardy, Andreiana Aurelius, Katie Vaske, and Mercedes Hamilton captured fourth place (4:28.86).
Third place was in the cards for Jen Valley in the long jump, where she notched a leap of 5.22m.
The high jump saw Emma Ries notch fourth with a 1.48m, while Maddie Sowinski earned that same finish in the pole vault with a 3.17m.
McKenna Hulslander was dominate for the throws group as she notched a first-place toss of 33.46m in the javelin. Ellie Biggins came through with a second-place mark of 10.98m in the shot put, while Madison Reed took second in the hammer with a 43.16m. Reed kept that momentum alive in the discus, where she registered a third-place toss of 37.14m.
The Pipers will return to action at the St. Thomas Tommie Twilight on Wednesday, May 4.
