SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University women's track & field senior Jen Valley was named January 17 MIAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

The Forest Lake, Minnesota native opened the 2023 indoor season with a first-place mark of 5.33m in the long jump at the St. Thomas Invitational on January 13, which ranks second in the MIAC and 33rd in NCAA Division III.

Valley and the Pipers will make the short trek to the Macalester Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on Saturday, January 21.
