SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline senior goaltender Maximillian Haselbacher was named January 15 MIAC Men's Hockey Defensive Player of the Week. This is Haselbacher's second MIAC Athlete of the Week nod of 2023-24, and the third of his career.

Haselbacher, a native of Vienna Austria, recorded a career-high 40 saves, and his second shutout of the season in a 5-0 victory over UW-Superior on January 13. Through 11 games played and 10 starts in 2023-24, Haselbacher owns a 2.83 goals against average, a .913 save percentage, four victories, and two shutouts.

The Pipers will return to MIAC play on Thursday, January 18 at Saint John's. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
