SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University junior pitcher Conor Mestemacher, and senior 1B/DH Tyler Johnson have been named February 26 MIAC Baseball Players of the Week. This is the first career MIAC Weekly Honor for both Mestemacher and Johnson.

Mestemacher pitched six innings of scoreless baseball in a 15-0 victory over Martin Luther in Topeka, Kansas on February 23. The Cottage Grove native allowed six hits, one walk, and notched five strikeouts in the winning decision. 

Johnson went 11-of-14 (.786) with eight doubles, nine runs scored, six RBI, and four stolen bases throughout Hamline's three-game sweep (15-0, 20-6, and 16-15) against Martin Luther on February 23-24 in Topeka, Kansas. This included a 5-for-6 outing that included three doubles and five runs scored in the 16-15 win on February 24.

The Pipers will face Simpson (DH) on the road on Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m.
