Box Score SAINT PAUL, MINN - The Hamline University men's tennis team traveled to Orlando, Florida to play four non-conference matches. The first match was played on Tuesday, March 12th against Salve Regina from Rhode Island. Getting out to a hot start in doubles has been the reason for success in a lot of matches this season for the Pipers and that is exactly what happened against Salve Regina. Hamline started out by sweeping the doubles then took it home with four singles victories leading them to a 7-2 victory to start the spring break trip.Â

The Pipers did what they do best and that is getting early wins on the doubles court. Seniors
Elijah Krause and
Isaac Hultberg won 8-5 at one doubles, junior
Rumeal Setts and sophomore standout
Tyler Rousslang won by a convincing score of 8-3 at two doubles, and to round it out sophomore
Liam Smith and Freshman
Keegan Terrone took care of business dominating at three doubles 8-0.Â

The Hamline boys closed this match out on the singles court winning four out of the six matches. The Pipers won at two, four, five, and six singles against Salve Regina all by convincing scores to lead the team to victory. Junior captain
Suprise Taylor the singles specialist got the job done at five singles 6-2, 6-2. Setts and Rousslang had tough matchup's on the singles court but look to get back into the win column when the boys next face Susquehanna University on Thursday, March 14th.Â
